Cesc Fabregas in a desparate attempt will see if he can make a return against Manchester United. Arsenal captain Fabregas has done light training sessions this week but has not yet fully tested out his hamstring injury.

But Cesc Fabregas will train with the first team group for the first time today and tomorrow before Arsene Wenger decides whether to pick him to face Manchester United.

Arsenal boss Wenger said: "It will be a very late decision to see if Cesc is in the squad or not. We will not take an unreasonable gamble, that is for sure, even if it is a big game. He is our Dennis Bergkamp.

Ian Wright concurred "We have to assess if it is a risk for him to play, is he ready to play in a very intense game, then I will make a decision."
