Eden Hazard says that the addition of players like Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa has helped him

Chelsea star Eden Hazard says that the addition of players like Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa has helped him take his game to the next level.

Hazard was already recognised as one of the finest young talents in world football. Chelsea managed to secure his services after having just won the Champions League in 2012. Hazard made a positive start to life at Stamford Bridge and he has not looked back since then. The last campaign, though, was probably the best of his time at Chelsea. After featuring in 45 appearances in all competitions, few would have expectedHazard to return with 20 goals and 11 assists.

Much of the goals were scored through assists from Fabregas, while he has already set up Diego Costa on several occasions. Previously,Hazard had expressed his displeasure at being the sole creator and scorer of chances. This was largely because of the inept performances from the club’s former striker, Fernando Torres. Armed with the deadly and potent Costa, Hazard has been able to deliver week in and week out. He has also reminded the fans about the contribution by defensive midfielder Nemanja Matic.Hazard ended the campaign with a clean sweep of the individual trophies like the PFA Player of the Year award.

"When you play with big players you feel better. I also think Nemanja is very important for the team. I know when I play with him I can focus more on the attacking part of my game because he is always behind me. If I can’t get back at a certain time, he is there to cover. With Diego, you know you don’t always need to get so far forward because he is always there; you just have to try to create something for him,” said the 24 year old Belgian international.
