Marco Verratti claims he is Huge Fan of Cesc Fabregas

PSG midfielder Marco Verratti claims that he is a huge fan of Cesc Fabregas and the Spaniard remains a player he wants to emulate in the future.

Verratti is considered as an immense talent in the PSG team. He plays in a similar role to that of Fabregas. Even though there are several weak points in his game, the 23-year-old clearly has time on his hand to make an improvement. Compared with the last few seasons,Verratti is placed more on the bench this season. It has been rumoured that Laurent Blanc no longer sees the player as a key part of the team.

Verratti still remains confident of being a first-team regular for the French outfit again. The player was on the bench for the recent 2-1 win against Chelsea in the Champions League last 16 stage. Fabregas made a significant difference in the game and was probably one of the best Chelsea players on the pitch.Verratti claims that he wants to try and follow the example set by Fabregas. The Spaniard may not be directly scoring goals, but he is extremely influential in the proceedings by controlling the pace of the game. His excellent long-range passing skills and vision have seen the player go from strength to strength since his debut as a teenager for Arsenal.

"I watch a lot of football. If I was to pick a player that I identify with in this Chelsea team it would be Cesc Fabregas. He makes you see what the game is about, he breathes football and you can tell by his way of playing how much he loves it.He was already a great player when I got started, so I've watched him a lot. He's an example who I try to follow,” said Verratti, whose place in the national team is under threat due to lack of regular football with PSG.
