Cesc Fabregas took after 9 Months to be Player of Chelsea

It took Cesc Fabregas almost 9 months for him to lift his 1st title as a player of Chelsea as the Spanish midfielder secured the Football League Cup on March 1 after his team claimed a 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

Goals from John Terry and Diego Costa helped seal the victory for Chelsea as they played at the Wembley Stadium in London in a match that Chelsea controlled from the start till the end.

The Spanish midfielder expressed his satisfaction after winning the Football League Cup with Chelsea as Fabregas said: "It’s always great to have the winning feeling; It’s the first trophy for me at Chelsea so I’m very happy.

There were maybe five or 10 minutes in the first half when they were better than us but overall we were in control.

It seems like it’s going the right way. We have a very young team which is very talented. "We have a lot of quality and great character, so we are very proud."

During the last season of Fabregas as a player of Barcelona, he managed to create 14 goal-scoring chances for his teammates in the Spanish club which was a very impressive feat as Fabregas was one of the top assisters in the entire Spanish League during that season, only Angel Di Maria was able to create more assists in that particular season.

Fabregas still has not completed a single season as a player of Chelsea but it does not look like he needs time to adapt into the team of Jose Mourinho as the midfielder has already made a huge impact in Stamford Bridge after providing his teammates with 15 assists and the season still is not even over.

CescFabregas was never truly known for his goal-scoring abilities but it was in his passing skills and capacity to connect with his teammates that turned him into one of the most ought players in Europe and Fabregas seems to have arrived to Chelsea at the perfect moment as Jose Mourinho already has at his disposal very prolific attacking players such as: Diego Costa and Eden Hazard, the only piece that was missing was someone who can tie everything up which was why Fabregas was signed.
