FABREGAS IMPRESSED BY THIERRY

Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has praised Thierry Henry, telling the world that he is a fantastic player and his goal against Leeds United in the FA Cup rolled back the years.

Thierry Henry is widely regarded as an Arsenal legend in North London and has a statue of him outside the stadium. He returned to the club he played for from 1999 to 2007 on a loan deal from MLS side New York Red Bulls.

Even though this is only a short-term loan, there has been a lot of expectation from Thierry Henry, mainly due to the lack of a support striker to Robin van Persie, who has been scoring goals for Arsenal.

Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas, who left Arsenal in the summer for £ 35 million, said that he was impressed with the goal scored by Thierry Henry in the FA Cup against Leeds United. Thierry Henry collected the ball from Alexandre Song from just outside the box and slotted past the keeper.

It was very much reminiscent of the Thierry Henry of old, as the Frenchman proved that he is still one of the best finishers in the game, even at 34 years old. Cesc Fabregas, who once played alongside Thierry Henry, said that it was a fantastic goal.

“Just seen Thierry's goal last night. Only he could have done something like that... Special players for special moments. Fantastic!” exclaimed Cesc Fabregas on Twitter.

This was the 227th goal in Arsenal colours for Thierry Henry. He is expected to remain with the North London club for just over two months before returning to New York red Bulls in March.

He is expected to be involved in the game against Manchester United, with the online football betting odds suggesting he is one of the favourites to score first in that tie! The match against Tottenham Hotspur may come a little too soon for the Frenchman.
