HENRY UNVEILED AS COMO SHAREHOLDER

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has been unveiled as a minority shareholder at Como in the Italian Serie B thus joining Cesc Fabregas.

Frenchman Thierry Henry has followed in the footsteps of Cesc Fabregas for a stake at Como in the second tier of club football in Italy.

Henry was confirmed as the latest minority shareholder at Como in a press conference with former Chelsea midfielder Dennis Wise on Tuesday. Wise also played a big role in Cesc Fabregas signing for Como this summer.

THREE DE JONG MAN UTD TRANSFER ALTERNATIVES TO AVOID FABREGAS DE JA VU

Manchester United’s pursuit of Frenkie de Jong has proven to be one of the transfer sagas of the summer. The Barcelona midfielder had looked destined to join the Red Devils after the two clubs agreed a financial package for a deal last month, but since then, various reports have suggested that the Dutchman would prefer to stay in Catalonia.

And the last thing club chiefs will want is a repeat of the Cesc Fabregas debacle of 2013. That summer, David Moyes came within a whisker of landing the former Arsenal playmaker, only to see the deal slip through his fingers, and for Marouane Fellaini to be signed as an alternative.

ARSENAL LEGEND THIERRY HENRY TO REUNITE WITH CESC FABREGAS AT SERIE B SIDE COMO

Thierry Henry is reportedly set to become a shareholder in Italian side Como, who signed his former Arsenal team-mate Cesc Fabregas on a free transfer earlier this summer.

The duo played alongside each other 99 times for the Gunners between 2004 and 2007 before Henry left the club to join Barcelona. They could now work together once again, this time in Italy, with Henry reportedly set to buy shares in Como, who signed Fabregas on a free transfer earlier this summer following his departure from Monaco.

FABREGAS MENTIONED AS FOOTBALL IDOL

New Arsenal player OleksandrZinchenko has mentioned Cesc Fabregas as his football idol. The Ukrainian international talked about Cesc Fabregas in his first interview as an Arsenal player.

Apart from Spanish international Fabregas, Zinchenko also mentioned Frenchman and club legend Thierry Henry. According to him, signing for Arsenal is a dream come true and that he watched Thierry Henry and Cesc Fabregas play for Arsenal while he was a child.

Arsenal signed Fabregas from boyhood club Barcelona as a teenager and he made his professional debut at the club. He went on to become a key player at Arsenal and also captained the club for some years before leaving to return to Barcelona in the summer of 2011. Apart from Arsenal and Barcelona, Fabregas has also played for Premier League outfit Chelsea and French side AS Monaco.

WHY FABREGAS JOINED COMO REVEALED

Veteran Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas could have called it quit with his professional football career after an injury-hit final year at French club AS Monaco, but the Spaniard has decided to make one last move in his career.

The 35-year-old was always going to leave Monaco this summer at the end of his contract at the club especially after making just five appearances in all competitions. Cesc Fabregas was restricted to a handful of appearances due to injury. The Spanish international had been at Monaco since he joined them from Premier League outfit Chelsea at the start of 2019.

Fabregas was planning to retire as a professional footballer according to a lot of media outlets before he was convinced to sign for Italian Serie B side Como by Chelsea legend Dennis Wise. Ex-Blues midfielder Wise is now a sporting director at Como.

FABREGAS RELEASE FROM MONACO CONFIRMED

It was an open secret for many months, but it has now been confirmed that Cesc Fabregas will leave French club AS Monaco when his current deal expires this month. Cesc Fabregas and Ex-Arsenal teammate Vito Mannone have been confirmed on the list of released players from Monaco this summer.

Fabregas, 35, still has less than two weeks on his contract with Monaco as things stand but it is certain that he will leave the club when his contract is up. The Spaniard is not planning retirement yet as he wants to continue to play professional football.

FABREGAS REPORTEDLY OKAYS CHELSEA PURSUIT OF NAPOLI DEFENDER

According to SPORT, Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly is ready to leave the club this summer and has informed the Italian giants of his decision. Alerted by the development, Chelsea and Tottenham have held discussions with his representatives, but the 30-year-old star wants a transfer to Barcelona.

Koulibaly has been with Napoli since 2014 when he arrived from KRC Genk and has grown into one of the most consistent and reliable defenders in the game. The 30-year-old, though, is entering the final year of his contract with the Partenopei and has turned down a new offer of extension from the Serie A outfit, as he believes the time is right for him to move on this summer.

CESC FABREGAS CONFIRMS MONACO EXIT

Spanish international Cesc Fabregas has confirmed his exit from French club AS Monaco this summer. The former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder revealed that he would leave Monaco at the end of his contract at the club. Cesc Fabregas also stated his desire to continue his football career.

In a chat with French media outlet So Foot, Cesc Fabregas revealed that he would be leaving Monaco when his current deal expires in June. When asked if he would stay at Monaco beyond this season, Fabregas disclosed that his exit from the club is imminent as he wants a new challenge.

CHELSEA HAVE STILL NOT FOUND FABREGAS REPLACEMENT

The clamour for a new defensive-minded midfielder is clear for Chelsea but another profile has been lacking for Thomas Tuchel. It spoke volumes about the impact Cesc Fabregas had at Chelsea that on his final appearance at Stamford Bridge he broke into tears before he departed for Monaco.

Fabregas, once a villain at Arsenal, had become one of the club's beloved protagonists.

As part of two title wins, an FA Cup and League Cup between 2014 and 2018, the Spanish maestro had dictated midfield, helped craft some wonderful goals and was added to a growing list of players who had found joy swapping north for west London.
